Brady's New Word
A new word for Brady today. Or, I understood it for the first time! "Butterfly". I think that is his first 3 syllable word. He has a butterfly mobile in his Jungle room and has probably been saying it for a while! How adorable. Not so adorable was the hour I spent wrestling with his 38 pound body at bedtime. He is strong and wiggly! I thought I would try for the early bedtime tonight at 8 o'clock. No dice. Of course Anna can't go to sleep before her little brother....that wouldn't be cool. Brady loves to sing at bedtime....as loud as he possibly can. His favorites are Twinkle Twinkle (intermixed with ABC's), the Na Na Song (a Sox fan already, or is it really the Anna Song, since he calls her Nana), the Barney Song (I know, we all think it's annoying, but this is my favorite right now because he is most excited about the "great big hug" part!), and the Goochie Goochie song from Small World. Anna got to wear the grass skirt and dance to this one for the end-of-the-year show!
We went to Wal Mart in Plainfield to get Anna's 5 year picture taken. We figured out she is actually 62 months old. She thought that was cool since we are always saying Brady's age in months. Anna is attending Soccer Camp this week. She said she's not going tomorrow because it makes her too tired. Maybe if she would go to sleep at night! This is the look I'll be getting tomorrow....
