World Cup Day
Today was Anna's last day of Soccer Camp. I'm very proud of her for making it through! They had the kids running around for the most of 2 1/2 hours each day! They separated the 5-6 year olds and played some fun and easy games with them, so they did get a break. I'm not sure if soccer will be Anna's thing, but I'll let her decide that later on.

The coaches divided them into 4 teams: Brazil, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. Anna was Irish! We looked up some Irish soccer players (I learned a lot!) and found that they have not done that well in the World Cup. All of the teams got points for making flags, bringing information about players, wearing green, painting faces, etc. Then they played a round robin tournament with 5 minute games. It was a fun week! The coaches from Three Lions Soccer club (all from England) were great with the kids. I found out there is a lot more strategy to soccer than just kicking the ball and running, that's for sure.
